Terms of sale

Shotbot · Last updated: 27 May 2026

1. Purpose and scope

These terms of sale (the “Terms”) govern all sales of services concluded on www.shotbot.fr and www.shotbot.net. They apply to every order placed by a customer, whether a consumer or a business.

Placing an order implies full acceptance of these Terms. Acceptance is collected through a checkbox before payment is confirmed. The Terms that apply are those in force on the date of the order.

3. Services offered

Shotbot is an automated website screenshot service, available through a web interface and an API. The paid offers are as follows:

Screenshot packsOne-time purchase of screenshot credits, with no subscription. Credits do not expire and are available immediately after payment.
Shotbot Pro subscriptionA recurring subscription (monthly or annual) granting a monthly screenshot quota, priority queue and advanced rendering options.

A free account, with no payment or card required, grants a monthly screenshot quota and lets you evaluate the service before any purchase. Detailed features and current prices are shown on the Pricing and Shotbot Pro pages.

4. Pricing

Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

The seller may change prices at any time. Services are billed at the price in force when the order is confirmed. For subscriptions, the price agreed at signup applies to subsequent terms, unless a change is notified under the conditions of article 8.

5. Order and acceptance

Creating an account is required to place an order. An order becomes firm and final after:

  • express acceptance of these Terms through a checkbox;
  • payment confirmation, the payment button expressly stating the obligation to pay.

The seller confirms the order by email once payment is confirmed by the payment provider.

6. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of the order, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through the provider Stripe. No card details pass through or are stored on Shotbot's servers.

For the Shotbot Pro subscription, the amount is charged automatically on each term (monthly or annual) until cancellation, under the conditions of article 8.

7. Provision of the service

The service is supplied in digital form, with no tangible medium, and performance begins immediately after payment is confirmed:

  • Screenshot packs: credits are added to the account and usable immediately.
  • Shotbot Pro subscription: subscription benefits are active immediately.

8. Right of withdrawal

8.1 Principle

Under articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, a consumer has a period of fourteen (14) days to exercise their right of withdrawal, from the conclusion of the contract, without having to give a reason.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to a business customer acting within their professional activity: distance contracts concluded with a business do not give rise to a right of withdrawal.

8.2 Shotbot Pro subscription

A consumer who subscribes to Shotbot Pro may withdraw within fourteen (14) days of signing up, using the form reproduced in article 17 or any unambiguous statement sent through the contact form. The amount paid for the current term is then refunded and Pro access is stopped.

8.3 Screenshot packs: exclusion of the right of withdrawal

Screenshot packs consist of the supply of digital content without a tangible medium, made available immediately. By purchasing a pack, the consumer expressly requests that their screenshot credits be made available immediately and expressly acknowledges waiving their right of withdrawal, in accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

As a result, screenshot packs are non-refundable. This request and waiver are collected through a checkbox at the time of payment. This works in the same way as buying a domain name or a digital licence activated immediately.

9. Shotbot Pro renewal and cancellation

The Shotbot Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each term (monthly or annual) for the same duration, until cancelled by the customer.

The customer may cancel at any time and free of charge from their account area, by a means as simple as the one used to subscribe (article L215-1-1 of the French Consumer Code). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term: Pro access is kept until then, after which the account returns to the free plan. Outside the withdrawal period, the term already started is not refunded.

For the annual subscription, in accordance with article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code, the customer is informed before the renewal date of the option not to renew.

10. Legal warranties

Independently of these Terms, a consumer benefits from:

  • the legal warranty of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code);
  • the warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

To make use of these warranties, contact us through the contact form.

11. Availability and liability

Shotbot is bound by a best-efforts obligation. The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability or of a specific result. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, technical incidents or causes beyond the seller's control.

Shotbot is not responsible for the content of the third-party sites captured, nor for the use the customer makes of the screenshots produced. To the extent permitted by law, the seller's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, excluding indirect damage (loss of data, loss of business, loss of revenue).

12. Customer obligations

The customer undertakes to use the service lawfully. The following are prohibited in particular: capturing for unlawful purposes, submitting content contrary to public order, deliberately overloading the infrastructure, and any attempt to circumvent quotas or security measures.

The seller may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach, without notice in the event of serious abuse. The API usage conditions also appear on the Legal notice page.

13. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, which complies with European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

14. Consumer mediation

Under articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, a consumer has the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge to settle a dispute amicably, after first attempting to resolve it directly with the seller through the contact form.

The consumer mediator is currently being designated. In the meantime, please contact us through the contact form for any complaint.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution, where appropriate through the mediation referred to in article 14. Failing that:

  • for a consumer, the rules of jurisdiction of the French Code of Civil Procedure apply; the consumer may in particular bring the matter before the court of the place where they lived when the contract was concluded;
  • for a business, jurisdiction is granted to the courts of Strasbourg.

16. Changes to these terms

The seller may change these Terms at any time. The Terms that apply to an order are those in force and accepted on the date of that order.

17. Model withdrawal form

Complete and return only to withdraw from a Shotbot Pro subscription (screenshot packs are not concerned, see article 8.3).
